Potternewton parkrun
April and our parkrun championship kicked back into action with Potternewton the first venue. This is fairly new to the Leeds parkrun scene so a good change for a lot of Harriers to get their first taste of this very up and down park.
The ladies were out in force with 30 posting a time and only 18 men.
Anna Stocks gets top points with her age grading of 67.94 which was posted in week 1. 2nd best was Nichola Moreland with a 64.91 which was also posted week 1.
The top 5 were rounded up by Emma Brown – 63.70, Susie Barrett – 63.61 and Clare Evans with 63.61.
Into the mens and Steve Rhodes came out on top with his week 3 effort of 76.35, only just ahead of Michael Vargas who posted a 76.19 in week 2.
The top 5 men were rounded up by Chris Jones – 73.11, Philip Goose – 71.10 and Lee Taylor – 66.29.
We had 3 first finishers with Anna first lady home in week 1 while Michael took top spot in week 2 and Steve week 3.
An happy group of 18 runners posted a PB time and they were Anna, Clare Evans, Jo Rhodes, Lucy Rider, Clare Maxwell, Vicky Houghton, Diane Aykroyd, Caroline Sanders, Liz Jones, Cara Sass, Lorna Midwood, Nicola Forwood, Judith Meadows, Julie Robson, Robyn Johnson, Claire Hougham, Lee Taylor and Mohammed Aslam.
